Thomas Istasse
Learning and Development Manager

Thomas is the Learning and Development Manager at A4ID and supports the designing and delivering of A4ID’s training activities, knowledge groups and learning resources as well as the monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for ROLE UK. He is an International Law graduate with a range of experience in international development.

Prior to joining A4ID, Thomas worked as a Program Manager supporting community-based health insurance schemes in Africa (especially DR Congo and Burundi). He previously worked as a Research Assistant in European and International Law at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and Legal Expert for the Belgian Development Agency in Dakar (Senegal) where he supported the implementation of a program aiming at improving governance in the health sector.

Thomas holds a Master’s degree of Law from the University of Louvain and a LL.M. in International Law from New York University. He is native in French, fluent in English and has a good knowledge of Dutch and Spanish.
