Sofia Papanikolaou
Associate Programme Officer- ROLE UK Programme

Sofia is the Associate Programme Officer for the ROLE UK Programme, supporting the work of the Programme’s Development Unit. She is a qualified lawyer in Greece and specialises in public international, human rights and development law. Before joining A4ID in January 2023, Sofia has gained work experience in academic institutions, international organisations and charities. She worked at the European Commission, the University of Oxford, the University of London, the British Red Cross and the Advice on Individual Rights in Europe (AIRE) Centre.

Sofia holds an LL.M. in International Development Law and Human Rights from the University of Warwick (UK), an M.A. in International Law and Diplomatic Studies from Panteion University (Greece) and an LL.B. from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece).
