ROLE UK Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Joely Thomas is the ROLE UK Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at A4ID. She is responsible for providing monitoring, evaluation and learning support to all ROLE UK Programme workstreams.
She brings her experience in supporting and evaluating humanitarian and development programmes in Jordan and Lebanon, with a focus on gender equality and gender-based violence. This includes work for International Rescue Committee, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and a Jordanian legal justice organisation.
Joely is particularly interested in the politicisation of funding and has conducted academic research in Palestine and Jordan on the impact of funding mechanisms and intervention gentrification, respectively. She has a BA in Politics and Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manchester.
