Advocates for International Development draws together the skills and expertise of the legal profession to combat poverty and inequality of opportunity worldwide.

There is much that lawyers can do.

We offer lawyers the chance to make a commitment and work to make change happen.

We look to share the legal profession's skills and expertise with those who benefit from or who are engaged in development.

We work to build the capacity and resources of developing countries, civil society and bar associations.

We promote awareness of the social, economic and legal issues that affect development and stifle opportunity.

We offer training and support to our Member Lawyers and our Development Partners to make a long-term difference.

We call on lawyers from throughout the profession, whether solicitor or barrister, training or qualified, in academia or in-house, practising or retired. Each has much to offer.

We provide opportunities for all, not only for firms, but also individuals, matching them with those who need their expertise and their support.
