Learning and Development Volunteer

Umama works with the Learning and Development team to provide support with A4ID’s resource development and Knowledge Hub activities.

Umama is a second-year student studying Psychology at Queen Mary University of London. Her degree’s focus on the research methods that facilitate behaviour change has driven Umama’s interest in the role of law in aiding international development and the work of A4ID’s ROLE UK programme to establish partnerships based on a Theory of Change.

As a Learning and Development volunteer, Umama assists in the implementation of A4ID’s Law and Development Training Programme and the launch of A4ID’s Legal Guide to the SDG’s.

Prior to A4ID, Umama completed a Legal First Step Programme with the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she gained an insight into the Legal sector through her work with DLA Piper, Allen & Overy and Herbert Smith Freehills.
