Siobhan works with the Pro Bono Legal Services team to facilitate partnerships between the legal and development sectors. She is also studying the LPC at the University of Law and volunteering at Kalayaan as an English Language Teaching Assistant to migrant domestic workers.

Upon graduating from the University of Oxford with a BA in French, Siobhan worked with young people in prison and at risk of going to prison at the charity Key4Life. This experience led her to study the GDL to learn more about how the law can be used to address social injustice and support vulnerable groups. She conducted a research project on mental health law and how the Human Rights Act is used to protect the rights of people who are detained and treated under mental health legislation.

Siobhan is looking to learn more about how the law can be used to further the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals within the development sector with a view to qualifying as a solicitor and continuing to work in international development or penal reform.
