Learning & Development Volunteer
Nour is a trainee solicitor who has read Law at the University of Cardiff with a focus on women’s rights and the sterilisation of women in Eastern Europe without their consent. During her time at university, Nour volunteered at a charity providing legal support and advice to refugees. Nour’s studies and legal work experience has motivated her to pursue her interest in international development and how lawyers can use their knowledge and expertise to actively prevent wealth inequality and eradicate poverty.
Volunteering at A4ID, Nour hopes to gain an insight into how conversations and partnerships can be facilitated between legal and international development stakeholders to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. Nour has always been interested in the role that law reform plays in securing protection for the most marginalised in society.
Nour plans to complete her training and will qualify as a Solicitor in November 2020.
