About Our Resources
Welcome to the A4ID resource centre
We believe in knowledge sharing. We know that by providing access to the latest thinking and debates we can increase awareness of the important role that lawyers and the law can play in the fight against global poverty.
This resource centre has been designed as a way to share relevant resources and create a community of individuals committed to using the law as a tool for international development.
Our resources
It provides lawyers, students, development professionals and all those interested in the role of law in international development with access to best practice, research and training on the key issues and debates in the field.
Legal Guides
Prepared by A4ID Legal Partners, our Legal Guides are for those with little knowledge of legal issues but who want to understand how the law can be used in international development work. They provide an introduction to the issues, legislation and institutions relevant to the work of development organisations.
Talks
As part of A4ID’s work to raise awareness of the role of law as a tool to tackle development challenges, we run a programme of education and training events featuring leading speakers from leading academics, development experts and legal practitioners.
As part of this resource centre you will also be able to download a wide range of talks and seminars delivered during our various events.
Reports and articles
We enable lawyers and development organisations to share knowledge and develop new responses to fighting global poverty. On this resource centre we have also included articles and reports produced by other NGOs, as well as law firms and academics which look in depth at key issues related to law and international development.
To find out more about A4ID and how we are using the law to support sustainable international development through our work, please visit our main website.
We would like to thank all the law firms, institutions and individuals who are supporting this site.
This resource centre is supported by the UK Department for International Development.
