Announcement from A4ID’s Chief Executive Yasmin Batliwala
Elisabeth Baraka left A4ID last week after eight and a half years, firstly in the role of Projects Officer and latterly as the Head of Partnerships and Legal Services.
Although we are sad to see her go, as she will be greatly missed, we are nevertheless pleased for her as she will be taking on an exciting position within the ABA’s Rule of Law Initiative.
We are delighted to welcome back Chara De Lacey who worked at A4ID four years ago. She will take up the new role of Interim International Projects Manager until November. She will be focussing on our existing in-country programmes and will also be developing new ones. A key priority will be our Business and Human Rights work which is progressing well in India, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda. Her work will also include delivery of A4ID’s training programme tailored for law firms.
Joe Tan, Partnerships and Legal Services, will continue to oversee all our pro bono operations, working closely with our Legal and Development Partners. He will have additional responsibilities in his role which includes developing bespoke projects with our Legal and Development Partners, and will continue to manage the Legal Health Check.
