The Role:

Communications is an evolving area of A4ID’s work as the organisation is looking to strengthen its digital presence and increase engagement with its online audiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can really help us understand and embrace the power of the web to improve our online presence.

What you’ll do:

You will need to conduct a thorough audit and review of our website and social media channels, as well as survey our web audiences, to identify what information our online audiences are looking for, what they spend most time on and what content is no longer relevant. This will include reporting on web metrics, i.e. user traffic, online mentions and social media engagement statistics. You’ll then need to analyse the data and provide us with a clear set of recommendations for improving our online presence. An emphasis on making evidence based recommendations is key – so you’ll need to have a strong understanding of Google analytics and be comfortable managing data.

You’ll also support the Comms team across all communications work for A4ID.

This role will involve:

  • Data collection: using your brain and a few web crawlers, you’ll help us collect the primary material that constitutes the core of our digital research
  • Data consolidation: you’ll consolidate the data to obtain higher-level results
  • Analysis: you’ll contribute to the understanding of our results, by comparing with other studies, highlighting trends, identifying what works and what doesn’t
  • Evaluation: You’ll suggest concrete recommendations and a set of next steps for improving our online presence

Applicants must have the following skills/qualifications:

Required

  • A dedication to quality work and a keen eye for detail
  • A working knowledge of and interest in developing high quality surveys
  • The ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and other relevant analytics tools
  • Highly interested in digital innovation and an understanding of SEO
  • Confidence to present your research
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver work on time

Desirable

  • An understanding of building online engagement with non-profit audiences
  • Interest in international development and the law
  • Experience of using social media professionally and analysing engagement with posts
